When I was little, I used to run away pretty much every day. I’d get mad at my parents, pack all my dolls and My Little Ponies into a pillow case and start to walk down the street vowing never to return again. Inevitably, my mom would follow me out, explain to me how bad running away would suck for a five year old, and tell me to give it up.
I’m 24 now, and I’m still trying to get out of here.
It’s not that I want to run away, it’s more that I want find my way. Except for a brief stint in New Zealand in college, I’ve lived inside the Washington, DC beltway my entire life. For me, I’m pretty ready to get out of here and the timing just seems right. Kevin and I are now happily married and actively preparing for a possible move to his home country of England.
In this blog, I hope to chronicle some of our adventures and to stay in touch with our friends and family while we are abroad.
