By | February 11, 2023

As a long-time blogger of life at KAUST, I am always grateful to hear from the community that there is still a great deal of interest in what life is like here. With that in mind, I have put together a list of updated resources for those who want to learn about living at KAUST.

If you are a member of the KAUST community, feel free to share your own tips or advice in the comments section below.

Eric & Ash Vlog

Ashley and Eric are American ex-pats who have made the move from North Carolina to KAUST. They share their experiences and adventures through vlogging, including life at KAUST, being ex-pats in the Kingdom, and more. This video tour of their home in the Palms neighborhood at KAUST is a great place to start:

Official channels

There are also several KAUST-owned channels that are publicly available and provide excellent an excellent window into life at KAUST.

KAUST website

The KAUST website is the primary source for information about the university, including research divisions, employment opportunities, innovation programs, and much more. This is an excellent starting point for anyone seeking to learn more about KAUST as a workplace and impact-maker.

Community Life website

I have just spent the last few years running the Community Life communication function, so perhaps I am a bit biased, but I think it is a really handy resource for residents and people considering a move to KAUST. It includes information about our community services, housing, demographics, recreation and activities, and highlights all the latest news and upcoming events that affect the community.

Subscribe to The Lens

Speaking of latest news and upcoming events that affect the community, if you are moving to KAUST, I recommend subscribing to The Lens Digest emails. These emails are sent several times per week and provide updated information about everything from road closures to scientific lectures, recreation activities, community events, and more.
